Lily's Story

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please go to our website and complete the online adoption application AFTER reading our adoption guidelines. http://www.floridayorkierescue.com

PLEASE READ... ALL THE INFORMATION IS BELOW. Lily is approximately 12-13 years old. She weighs 6 lbs. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. When she arrived she had a corneal abrasion (which has been treated but left a scar on her eye.) She still has her eyesight. She had two infected teeth remaining which were both removed, so now she has no teeth. She is pee wee paper trained as long as she knows where the papers are. She had mammary gland tumors which were all recently removed. The Veterinarian removed them completed but a few were sent in for a biopsy and proved to be malignant. Whoever adopts this sweet girl will have to monitor her to make sure she does not grow more mammary gland tumors. She is very sweet and was spoiled by her owner who has died. She eats Dr. Marty's freeze dried food and does well on it. She eats twice a day and prefers to sleep in bed with you but likes her own blankets towards the bottom of the bed where your feet are. I have not heard her bark so she is relatively a quiet dog. She tolerates other dogs well but doesn't play. She is looking for an owner who will spoil her in her senior years.

For more information you can go to our website and complete the online adoption application. www.floridayorkierescue.com or email us at floridayorkierescue@yahoo.com We only adopt to local Florida residents. We do not do out of State adoptions. Sorry. Her adoption fee has not yet been decided.
