Lily's Story

Sweet pup Lily is a playful, energetic girl who has been waiting far too long to find her place in the world.

Pretty Lily is a 2-year-old German Shepherd, weighing in at 48 lbs. Everything about her wins hearts fast, she’s a beautiful, fun-loving gal with a loyal, gentle spirit. She loves her people and does the cutest little head-tilts as she stares up at you with those soft, adoring eyes. She’s grateful for affection, eager to bond, and genuinely wants to be someone’s beloved companion.

Lily has a higher energy level and lives for a good romp in the yard with other playful pups. She gets along wonderfully with dogs and has made many canine buddies. Because she can get overwhelmed with the unpredictable energy of young kids, Lily is looking for an adults-only, cat-free home where she can relax, feel safe, and be her best self.

She was found emaciated as a stray and brought to an overcrowded shelter, where she sadly ended up at risk for euthanasia in May 2024. A kind foster saw her story and knew Lily deserved a real chance. Since then, Lily has blossomed, gaining healthy weight, playing like the young pup she is, and making new dog friends. She rides nicely in the car, loves her snuggle time, and while she can be a bit nervous meeting new people, once she trusts you, her sweet personality shines.

Lily is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and ready for the forever home she’s been dreaming of.

If you can open your heart and home to dear Lily, please contact AmsterDog by call/text at 917-689-8414 or by e-mail at info@amsterdog.org

.
