Lily's Story
Hi, I am Lily! I am a 1-year-old, 35-pound Hound mix and if you are looking for a happy, energetic girl who absolutely loves life, you just found her! I am completely house trained, leash trained and great with other dogs. I love having canine friends to play with and have no trouble keeping up with them. When it comes to people, I have never met a stranger! I am friendly, affectionate and always excited to make a new friend. I am being fostered in Beverly Hills, Michigan.

You might notice that I only have three legs, but I promise I barely notice at all. I came into the shelter with a terrible injury to my front right leg that left the bone exposed. Unfortunately, my leg could not be saved and had to be amputated. That sounds like a pretty big deal, but apparently nobody told me! I run, play, chase, wrestle and get the Zoomies just like any other young dog. My fur is still growing back from surgery, but every day I am looking a little more like myself again. We even have videos of me running and playing if you need proof that three legs do not slow this girl down!

I am an active, loving girl looking for a family who wants a fun companion to enjoy life with. I am definitely still a Hound at heart and squirrels are very exciting, so my future family should be prepared to appreciate those instincts! I will come fully vetted, spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. I have already been through more than most dogs my age, but I am not looking backward. I am ready to run full speed into the best part of my life — hopefully straight into the arms of my forever family.

Please apply to adopt me here:
https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63adcb00cb896f59b74103d2/6a8cbda057349fffda03117f

———

If interested, please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder.
