LILY's Story

Adoption applications or donations can be submitted at yorkierescue.com
Lily is an absolute lovable little sweetie. She loves to go on walks, and is quite energetic. She gets along, actually ignores, my 2 cats and they haven’t even hissed at her! My eighteen yr old pup is fine with her also. On our walks Lily has no issues with kids, men, or big dogs! She loves everybody! She does use a pee pad, although there have been a couple of accidents. We are working on that. She’s not a little yippy, barking dog, but she has on occasion barked, "hurry up and let’s go walk!" No barking at the vacuum either! She will just sit on the couch pillow while I'm vacuuming under the cushions. She also likes to keep me company on the couch…she just jumps up…

Lily came to YTNR with only 1 tooth, unspayed and with ~12 or more mammary tumors. We suspect she may have been used for breeding and when she could no longer produce, they turned her over to a shelter. She is having surgery today and will be wearing a cone of shame while she heals. Donations towards her extensive and costly surgery are sought and can be made via our website, www.ytnr.com. Once Lily has recovered from her surgery, she will be up for adoption and we'll find her the perfect fur-ever home. If you would like to adopt Lily, or donate towards her Medical expenses, please write her name, LILY, in the comment section of your application, or donation. Thank you!
