Lily's Story

Lily 5 month old lab mix from South Carolina

Sweet Lily had a rough start in life. She was found roaming the streets when she was just a little over two months old. For almost eight weeks she sat in a shelter puppy cage, missing all the fun she should have had at that age — playing with siblings, discovering toys, and learning what the world has to offer.

She was finally adopted, only to be found again as a stray just two days later.

But now comes her final freedom ride. Our rescue partner pulled her and showed Lily how wonderful life can be. She can finally run, play, cuddle, and just be a puppy.

Lily is great in her crate — she learned quickly that a treat in your hand means jumping right in. She stays clean overnight and is working on her house-training skills; you just need to watch for the signs when she needs to go out. She plays wonderfully with the two adult dogs in her foster home. She loves to roughhouse, but when she’s done, she’s the biggest cuddler.

Warning: she will steal your socks and shoes 😄
She also enjoys walks and is doing really well on the leash.

📞 Interested in Lily?
