Lily's Story

Meet Lily: A Sweet, Gentle Senior Looking for a Forever Home!

At 9 years old and 45lbs, Lily came into the shelter as a stray in July 2026. Despite the stress of shelter life, Lily was calm and affectionate with her volunteer friends. She was tolerant of other dogs in play groups, but tended to prefer a mellow one-on-one outing. Seeing her soft and dainty nature, our team at Dog Coalition LA fell in love with her and thanks to a committed foster, she left the shelter for a foster home in early September.

Now in foster care, Lily is settling into home life and showing her foster family her sweet personality. She is friendly with people and guests in the home and is making good progress with crate training. She is still a little nervous on leash, but her foster is working with her patiently as she builds confidence and comfortability out in the world. Lily is an easygoing and low-energy girl who enjoys a peaceful environment and plenty of time to relax.

Lily would likely thrive as a solo companion or potentially alongside another calm, respectful dog. A quiet, relaxed home where she can enjoy gentle walks, cozy naps, and plenty of companionship would be a wonderful fit for this sweet senior.

What You Should Know About Lily:

-Sweet 9-year-old, 45lb girl looking for a calm forever family to love

-Gentle, affectionate, and low-energy, with a soft personality and a preference for people over rowdy play

-Might be a wonderful match for someone looking for a mellow companion to share quiet days, gentle outings, and lots of quality time together

To meet Lily, please fill out an adoption form on dogcoalitionla.org/adopt and follow @dogcoaltionla for updates!
