Lily's Story

Hi, I'm Lily

I'm a sweet puppy from New Mexico who got a second chance at life with my sister Rose after we were saved just hours before euthanasia. Before rescue, I had only ever lived outside, so this whole indoor luxury lifestyle is pretty amazing — soft beds, toys, air conditioning, and humans who love me? I'm fully on board now.

My foster family says I'm doing incredible. I'm fully crate trained, sleep quietly through the entire night, and stay calm and silent in my crate when my people run errands. I'm also fully potty trained with zero accidents. Pretty impressive for a girl who just discovered indoor living!

I'm being fostered with two human kids (7 and 9 years old) and I adore them. Honestly, I just want to be close to my people as much as possible. I love affection, cuddles, and following you around to see what you're doing.

I also previously lived with a 6 year old Labrador who helped me learn that new dogs can be safe and fun. I'm still building confidence and can get overly excited when I see other dogs or people on walks because everything is still new and exciting to me. I'm learning more every day and doing so well with guidance and patience. I prefer eating my meals alone right now, but I'm already making progress there too.

Some of my other talents:
• Learned stairs in ONE day
• Ride quietly in the car
• Love squeaky toys
• Great at entertaining myself
• Extremely food motivated
• Listen really well to corrections

I've come such a long way in a short amount of time, and now I'm just looking for a family who will keep helping me grow into the confident, loved dog I'm meant to be.
