Lilly's Story
Senior Hearts Rescue and Renewal is the only licensed senior dog rescue organization in Western Pennsylvania. We do not have a shelter or a public facility. ALL of our dogs reside in foster homes in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.<br/><br/>We are a 100% volunteer organization. Please respect our volunteers' time. If a dog is listed on PetFinder, he/she IS available for adoption. We cannot reply to messages, phone calls, and emails about a dog until we have received, reviewed, and approved an adoption application.<br/><br/>Our ADOPTION application is found at www.seniorhearts.org/how-to-adopt<br/><br/>Completing this application is the first step in our adoption screening process. You can meet a dog ONLY after we have completed our adoption approval process.<br/><br/>We look forward to receiving your application in hopes that you are able to meet our adoption requirements and provide this dog with a loving furever home.<br/><br/>And now a few words about Lilly:<br/><br/>Lilly is 13 years young and weighs about 13 pounds. <br/><br/>Lilly is a sweet little old lady who loves to go on long walks.  She has good leash manners. She does enjoy sniffing on her walks.<br/><br/>Lilly is a bit shy and takes her time getting to know new people. She needs to be allowed to go at her pace when meeting people and going new places. Once she feels comfortable with you she will crawl in your lap and paw you for pets. <br/><br/>Lilly enjoys moving her blankets and bed around to suit her mood. She whimpers sweetly as she works.  Sometimes she sings! <br/><br/>Lily is calm when dressing her in her harness and winter clothes. Lilly doesn't mind wearing summer attire either. This old lady likes being stylish.<br/><br/>Lilly can be your one and only dog or she will do fine with other calm dogs.<br/><br/>Lilly can sees ok, but her hearing is not like it was in her younger years<br/><br/>Lilly is in good health. She recently even had a dental surgery. She is up to date on vaccinations and current on flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. <br/><br/>Lilly is impeccably house trained. She is quiet when left alone. <br/><br/>If you are looking for a gentle old soul to share walks and couch time by the fire, Lilly is your girl. <br/><br/>Lilly can be adopted into a home within a two-hour radius of Pittsburgh, PA.
