Lilly Bell's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lily Bell is a beautiful five-year-old female, Chihuahua, short coat / Rat Terrier that was transferred to Tired Dog Rescue from Pearl River County SPCA and weighing in at 12 pounds (small).

Other than typical sniffing for introductions, Lilly seems to be able to get along with all dogs she has encountered. She has not met a cat yet, so her attitude toward them is unknown.

Lilly is very friendly and approachable. She has interacted mainly with adults, but her personality shows that she should be good with kids as well.

Lilly has some minor dental issues that will be addressed on January 14th.

Lilly has a playful streak and is able to jump up on beds, couches, etc. on her own power. Very healthy according to her most recent exam.

Lilly is housebroken, well behaved, loving, and ready for a loving family that will treat her well and she will reciprocate with good loving as well.

She shows no food aggression or basically any negative personality traits. She does have a loud course bark, which may make her not be an apartment dweller.

As for sharing family with other dogs, Lilly's reaction thus far, indicates that she could do well with other dogs in the household. That said, she has been by herself and that has not stopped her from being happy and playful.

Lilly will wait until told before jumping up onto the bed or furniture to be with her human.

Tired Dog Rescue adoption fee includes all sets of vaccinations, heartworm test, fecal exam, spay/neuter and microchip. We also recommend that you research the breed that you want to adopt. Ask yourself....Can you afford the cost of a high maintenance dog such as a Cocker Spaniel or Shih-tzu etc? The grooming costs are about 50.00 every 6-8 weeks. Are you in a position to adopt a puppy which will require training? Can you afford the medical costs that might be involved in adopting a senior pup? We want every adoption to be for life so please think about what you can and what you are willing to do before considering each pet. If you are unsure please contact us and we can help answer any questions.
