Lilly's Story

Lilly is a sweet girl looking for her forever home after quite the journey. She originally ended up with a rescue that unfortunately had to shut down and was later placed in a dog prison program called “New Leash on Life,” where she spent quite some time. When it was time for her to move on and make room for other dogs in need, a volunteer reached out to BCAA for help — and thankfully, they said yes! When Lilly first arrived at her foster home, she was understandably shy and a little confused. With patience, love, and lots of TLC, she has started to come out of her shell and learn that she is safe. Now, she is beginning to truly enjoy attention and affection from her people.

Lilly appears to be a smaller Lab mix, around 2 years old and weighing about 38 pounds. She is carrying a little extra fluff at the moment, but with regular walks and some portion control, she'll be feeling her best in no time. Lilly gets along well with other dogs she has met and does not bother cats at all. She has done very well in her kennel with no accidents or barking and walks nicely on a leash. She especially enjoys going for walks, which are helping her build confidence and stay active. Lilly is a gentle, deserving girl who is ready for a loving forever family to show her just how good life can be. If you would like to meet Lilly, please fill out an application at bcaaofnj.org.
