Lil’ Debbie's Story

Hi, I am Lil Debbie!

Lil Debbie is an actual snack cake. She is a female pitty mix that was born in April 2023. This social butterfly loves meeting new people and dogs. She is playful, sweet, outgoing, and she walks well on a leash. She is house broken, and crate trained!

Lil Debbie is moderate energy level, but is down for a nap or a walk as long as she is with you, she is happy. Her favorite is a short walk and then a long nap! She is an adorable little girl- I mean just look at that smile!! Before coming to B&B, Lil Debbie had a sad beginning. Her owner became homeless and was no longer able to care for her (despite loving her very, very much). He turned her into a shelter, thinking this was what was best. However, the shelter in his area is a kill shelter and frequently euthanized for space. Lil Debbie found herself facing euthanasia for no reason, other than the fact that she hadn’t had any adoption interest and the shelter needed to make room for new intakes. Thankfully, her foster said “yes!” And Lil Debbie came into our rescue!

Lil’ Debbie is a little clumsy, hits her massive head on things. She is solar powered and loves sunbathing! She’s a very quiet girl, hardly ever barks, and would do well in an apartment. She adores kids, can have an independent streak and lay on her own, loves car rides, and will hangout with you to get coffee on the weekend. She can sleep anywhere- soft blankets, dog beds, and crates! Her favorite time is dinner time! She doesn’t love rain or getting her paws wet but tolerates baths. She isn’t really a chewer, she prefers soft and squeaky toys. Did we mention she can totally rock a hoodie or sweater?

Are you the perfect home for Deborah?? Do you want a snuggled up cinnamon roll to wake up to on Sunday Mornings?

She is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and monthly preventatives, heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of her care while in foster. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. To apply to adopt Lil Debbie, visit www.beaglesandbentleys.org/adopt.

Note: Sending a Petfinder inquiry is not submitting an application. We require a completed adoption application to move forward with adoption.

Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
