Lil Bit's Story

Are you looking for a small, calm and very affectionate beauty to spend your life with? My name is Lil Bit and I am available for adoption through Fetching Tails Foundation! I am an 8-year-old, 18-pound Shih Tzu/Pomeranian mix. I have gorgeous light tan coloring, and just wait until you see my cute curly tail! It makes me unique, I think!

Fetching Tails Foundation graciously offered to take care of me after my mommy passed away and her daughter had medical issues so could no longer keep me. I miss them both, but I am grateful for a new chance to find a forever home and am having a great time in my foster home! In all honesty, I am kind of a perfect catch. I have excellent manners; I don’t bark or jump up on people even though I am always happy to see both my friends and strangers alike. I am also potty and crate trained, and I get along great with foster mommy’s cats and dog. In fact, I love meeting new dogs! It would be fun to have a fur friend to hang out with in my forever home. I also have a few tricks up my sleeve: I always come when called, and am working on “sit” and “stay.” But my best trick is how I greet people: I stand up on my back legs and wave! It’s SO cute, come meet me and see!

And please don’t let my age fool you: I have a lot of living left to do and I love to go on walks and play in my foster mom’s backyard! I would also be very happy to binge watch some Netflix while in your lap, as well. Cuddling is my favorite thing to do in the whole world! I could stand to lose a couple pounds so I can be in perfect shape for a long, happy life; I would love a forever family who will take me on plenty of walks and enjoy lots of playtime, too! Life is all about balance, and foster mommy says I should balance my tv and cuddle time with some fun, calorie-burning activities too!

If loving, calm, adorable, loyal, sweet and CUDDLY sounds like exactly what you are looking for in your future lap dog, please contact my friends at Fetching Tails Foundation and let them know I sent you! I can’t wait to start this next chapter of my life with you!

Love,
Lil Bit

If interested please fill out an application on our website at www.fetchingtailsfoundation.org or if any questions please email us at taylor@fetchingtailsfoundation.org

Adoption Requirements:
Be at least 21 years of age
Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household
Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease)
Have a valid ID with current address
Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Fetching Tails Foundation
Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
Lives in 50 mile radius of Itasca within the Illinois border

Adoption Fees: Senior dog - 8 years and up, $75
Adult or young dog - 6 months to 7 years, $250
Puppies - under 6 months, $350
