With a strong, athletic build and a slightly stubborn streak, Liichi is nonetheless easy to train, highly intelligent, and always eager to win his owner's affection. Loyal and obedient, he may not be the most outwardly enthusiastic dog, but his bond with his human is deep and affectionate. He never shows fear, often gazing at his person with eyes full of understanding. When you talk to him, he seems to truly listen—responding with soft blinks that reveal his gentle and loving nature.<br/><br/>Liichi has a playful and quirky sense of humor. Though secretly afraid of cats, he’ll theatrically bare all his teeth to scare them off if they get too close—just to protect himself. He’s also a master of charm: when he wants a treat, he puts on his best pleading face, or adorably begs for attention until he gets what he wants.<br/><br/>Having grown up with little attention from his previous owner, Liichi can sometimes show signs of reactivity. He’s not very social, and unfamiliar people may make him anxious. But once he trusts you, his loyalty is unwavering. As long as he can see you, he feels calm and secure—quietly settling nearby. And when you approach, he often greets you with a toy in his mouth, ready for a playful game of tug. He’ll let out dramatic growls like a fierce hunter—but it’s all in fun. If he “wins,” he’ll proudly bring the toy back to your hand, inviting you to keep playing.<br/><br/>Liichi needs a home filled with love, patience, and understanding.
