Liberty (Libby)'s Story
Meet Liberty aka Libby!

Libby is a 6 1/2 year old spayed Catahoula Cur mix. She is only about 40 lbs so she is the perfect size. She is super cute, brindle in color and a precious little bobbed tail. Libby was found as a stray extremely skinny and more than likely abandoned. BARK took her in and found her a placement but it just was not the right fit for her nor was she the right fit for the couple. Libby needs a quiet home surrounded by her people. She needs to be adopted by a family who can provide proper training. Since she has been back at BARK, Libby has been on her best behavior. She is great on a leash, doesn't have accidents in her kennel so we are pretty sure she is completely housebroken. She has been great with other dogs, kids over 10 and strangers. Libby does tend to BARK at dogs on leashes or when they walk by - once she meets the dog, she does well. We are unsure on how Libby would do in a home with cats. We truly believe that once Libby gets into a home, she wants to protect her people and home so she will some training to understand that she doesn't have to always protect, she can relax a little bit too!!! Sadly, this is not uncommon of a rescue dog. We just have no idea what her past was like before we rescued her!

Our ideal home for Libby would be a older couple with no kids or older kids. She likes a calm environment, she is definitely a creature of habit. She doesn't like loud noises and chaos. She is an old soul. She wants to lay at someone's feet while they are reading a book, then go on an afternoon walk and then take another nap! We all LOVE Libby at BARK and we know there is the perfect home waiting for her out there!!!! Do you think that is you??????

Please email us at LongJ1003@aol.com for more information!
