Liberty (Libby)'s Story

Meet Liberty aka Libby!

Libby is a 6 year old spayed Catahoula Cur mix. She is only about 40 lbs so she is the perfect size. She is super cute, brindle in color and a precious little bobbed tail. Libby was found as a stray extremely skinny and more than likely abandoned. BARK took her in and found her a placement but it just was not the right fit for her nor was she the right fit for the couple. Libby needs a quiet home surrounded by her people. She needs to be adopted by a family who can provide proper training. Since she has been back at BARK, Libby has been on her best behavior. She is great on a leash, doesn't have accidents in her kennel so we are pretty sure she is completely housebroken. She has been great with other dogs, kids over 10 and strangers. We are unsure on how Libby would do in a home with cats. We truly believe that once Libby gets into a home, she wants to protect her people and home so she will some training to understand that she doesn't have to always protect, she can relax a little bit too!!! Sadly, this is not uncommon of a rescue dog. We just have no idea what her past was like before we rescued her!

Libby is considered a special needs dog because she has food allergies. She is allergic to eggs and chicken. She is currently eating Purina Proplan Sensitive stomach - salmon. She does great with this food. She also gets salmon treats and she loves cheerios!!!!!

We know that Libby will make an excellent pet given the right setting for her! If you think that Libby would be a good match for you please email us at LongJ1003@aol.com.
