Libby's Story

Libby is a six year old female poodle shih tzu mix (sometimes called a shipoo). She has had a bit of a rough beginning in life but with her latest makeover she is ready to start a new chapter in her life! Libby came to North Paw as an owner surrender when she had a skin infection that had gotten pretty bad. She has clearly known love in her past, but had not had veterinary care in years.

Libby is house broken and knows how to settle in her pen on command where she will patiently wait for her people to return. She can be very shy and nervous when meeting new people, but once you build trust with her she will be your best friend for life.

Libby currently lives with three older small breed dogs and does very well with them. She has not met any cats while in her foster home, but she does have a prey drive when out on walks. Even though she does well with the resident dogs in her foster home, we believe that Libby would love to be the only pet in her forever home. She loves getting all the attention from her humans and would prefer not to have to share it. Libby enjoys going on walks, although she is still working on her manners when meeting unfamiliar dogs and new people out in public. She is a smart girl who would benefit from patient guidance, consistency and formal training.

When she is not out exploring, Libby's favorite activities include playing fetch and snuggling close to her favorite humans. She would love to have a fenced in yard and would do best with children over 12. She is looking for a loving home where she can continue building confidence and share all the love she has to give.

Libby's adoption fee is $500! This adoption fee includes: her alter, a microchip, her rabies, bordetella, and age appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.

If you think she may be perfect for you, please apply using the link below!

https://www.cognitoforms.com/NorthPawRescue/NorthPawRescueDogAdoptionApplication

**Unfortunately, we cannot adopt out to Canada at this time.

**We require a 60 minute adoption radius.
