After her initial surgery, she continued to thrive in foster care, gaining weight, growing like a weed, playing normally with her 3 foster brothers, and developing into the most happy, social and affectionate puppy.<br/><br/>To ensure she received the best possible care, Leyla was evaluated by multiple vets. And most recently, after extensive research to find a vet specializing in Oral Maxillary Facial and Trauma, we found a superstar! Leyla received comprehensive advanced cone beam 3D CT scans, full-mouth dental and facial x-rays, and a thorough evaluation We now have a much better insight of her injuries. As a result, Leyla occasionally makes mild snoring, snorting, or gurgling sounds when breathing. After careful discussion of all options, since Leyla is eating, drinking, happy, playful, gaining weight, the specialist recommended not pursuing any interventions at this time.<br/><br/>Leyla is loving, resilient, affectionate and is happy to greet anyone she meets. She's been exposed to cats and chickens and has no mean or aggressive bone in her body. She breathes adequately, eats and drinks normally, maintains excellent energy, and enjoys all the activities expected of a puppy her age. She shows no signs that her initial injury limits her quality of life, she is playful, loving, social, and full of personality and joy!<br/><br/>She's been on multiple 12 hour road trips and does excellent in the car, and if you take her to a restaurant, she's sleeping right at your feet. She plays with her foster brothers, but yet independent throwing toys around and chasing them. <br/><br/>She's our couch cuddler and sleeps with us at night. Beyond her early injuries, Leyla is simply the most wonderful puppy. She adores people, enjoys affection, and approaches life with enthusiasm despite everything she has been through.<br/><br/>Leyla is looking for a family willing to embrace her unique story and appreciate the remarkable little dog she has become.
