She will need a patient family willing to give her the time she needs to acclimate and feel comfortable.<br/><br/>Lexi relies on the other dogs in her foster home for confidence and they've helped her significantly.<br/><br/>She is crate trained and doing well with housetraining.<br/><br/>ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:<br/><br/>Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Walking on a leash/harness is still very much a work in progress.<br/>Confident resident dog to help Lexi build confidence and learn what being dog is all about.<br/>*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.<br/><br/>Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
