Hopefully we can get her spay soon after & then she will be ready for her new home. <br/><br/>8/27/26-Lexus loves playing with her polka dotted pig, her wag wobble, giggle ball, and her duckie. She’s a big-time player!!! <br/><br/>8/20/26-We finally received a call this morning from the original veterinary clinic that saw Lexus. They confirmed they did detect a grade 3 heart murmur during her examination (unsure why they didn’t put on our original paperwork). The spay clinic decided they don’t feel experienced enough to do a spay on a dog with a heart murmur so we are looking at getting another vet office that can do it. <br/><br/>8/11/26-Lexus went to the vet today for her pre-spay checkup. Even though the vet a few days ago her owner took her for a health certificate & some shots made no mention of a heart murmur, this different vet office heard a possible 3-4 murmur (out of 6). It may just have been stress as we often see that with new dogs in rescue. They are going to check with their surgeons to see if OK to do the spay there due to possible heart murmur. We are waiting to hear back to schedule spay with them or another vet. <br/><br/> <br/>8/8/26-This beautiful lady Lexus just came into rescue today & she couldn’t be any sweeter! We met at an outside lunch spot and there were lots of dogs, she was so excellent greeting them and was very happy to stay with us by our picnic table. Quiet and chill but I can imagine she’s very confused. Our amazing foster home will get her updated with vetting & her spay and ready for her next chapter in life.<br/><br/> <br/>8/7/26-Lexus is a sweet about 7 year old female boxer that came from the same home as zeus & is coming into rescue tomorrow. Sadly their owner was losing their house & had to move back to Puerto Rico & couldn’t afford the thousands to have the brought with them. Owner says they are healthy and very good dogs. His friends & family bring their dogs of all sizes and breeds to his house and there are never any issues. He says Zeus is a big baby, very submissive and Lexus is just a chill older lady. They both love to go in the kiddy pool and soak. They are also good with children of all ages and have been exposed to cats with no issue. & said they are crate trained and housebroken.Also said Lexus loves water & is off leash trained & has great recall.
