Lexi's Story

If you're interested in adopting, please fill out the adoption application at https://www.sarahstreasuresrescue.net/application-to-adopt

- 4 year old Spayed Female Border Collie / Heeler Mix approximately 40-45 pounds.
- Good with other dogs of all sizes. At times her play style can annoy the other dogs as she can get a bit rough.
- Doesn’t seem to mind cats and did not seem to want to chase them. She is not currently fostering in home with any but is around barn cats on occasion.
- Lexi would do best with older children. She is friendly and does well, but the younger ones make her a bit uncomfortable and anxious.
- Kennel trained and house trained.

Lexi arrived to rescue after displaying some unwanted behaviors in her previous home and being uncomfortable with the young child. Lexi is friendly but timid at times. She loves attention and wants to please. She thrives on physical exercise and mental games. Lexi knows her basic obedience and has great leash walking skills.

Lexi has been vet checked, is up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, spayed, and current on her flea/tick/heartworm/deworming preventatives. Lexi’s adoption donation fee is $300.00

We realize that people are looking for a predominant breed or breed mixture, but visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
