Lexi's Story

Meet Lexi 💙

Lexi is a 3-year-old blue and white female Staffordshire Terrier who came to us with her sister, Lilo, after their family experienced a personal situation that required them to move. This transition has been especially hard on Lexi, and she is currently very scared in the shelter environment. She often trembles in fear, and it’s clear she’s overwhelmed and unsure.

Despite her fear, Lexi is a truly sweet girl at heart. She is great with other dogs and does well with children, making her a wonderful potential addition to a loving home. Lexi just needs a calm, patient environment where she can feel safe and start to build her confidence again. A forever home would be ideal, but even a temporary foster could make a world of difference in helping her come out of her shell.

With time, love, and reassurance, we know Lexi will blossom into the amazing companion she’s meant to be. She just needs someone willing to give her that chance.

Lexi’s adoption fee is $175.00, which includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations, deworming, and heartworm test—all of which will be completed prior to adoption.

If you’re interested in giving Lexi the safe, loving home she desperately needs, please submit an application at fayettecountyanimalshelterwv.com and come meet her at 513 Shelter Rd, Fayetteville, WV 25840. Help us show Lexi that the world isn’t so scary after all 🐾

Fayette County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
Those interested in adoption have the option to visit us in person or to view our animals online. Once the potential finds an animal that interests them, whether after meeting in person or online, they will complete an adoption application. The adoption application is then screened by one of our adoption counselors. If approved, we will coordinate an appointment for adoption (usually same day). If not approved, we will work with the applicant to see if there is anything we can do to assist in getting them approved before turning them away. Adopters will pay a set adoption fee. In return, they will adopt their new furry friend and will go home with medical records, a copy of the adoption contract, an adoption packet, and our contact info should they ever need anything.
