Lewis's Story

Meet Lewis
Breed: French Bulldog
Age: 4 years old
Weight: 35 lbs
Status: Neutered, fully vetted, heartworm tested (negative), on prevention, and up to date on vaccines

Lewis is a sweet Frenchie who came to us as an unclaimed stray. His time in the shelter left him a little heartbroken and unsure, but he’s now ready to find his forever family.

This handsome boy is housebroken, gentle, and very much a Velcro dog—he wants nothing more than to stay close to his people. Right now, he’s still decompressing and learning that he is safe and loved. With patience and reassurance, his trust will grow, and his personality will continue to shine.

As a typical Bulldog, Lewis will thrive in a home with structure and a firm leader. He loves other dogs but needs guidance during the initial meeting so that he knows you are in charge of the situation. When left to make his own decisions, Lewis tends to make poor choices when meeting new doggy friends.

If you have a little extra love to give, Lewis will return it tenfold. He’s waiting for that special someone to help mend his heart and show him what forever really means.

Lewis would love a securely fenced yard in which to run and play.
