Lewis and his brother Clark were dumped on a rural road in south-central Kentucky, and explored their way into the yard of someone who cared enough to take them in and post them as strays on Facebook. <br/><br/>This handsome young dog - not quite a year old - is gentle, kind and loving. He's eager to please, comes and sits on command, doesn't lunge or jump up or throw a paw like the other big dogs do. He's just a sweetheart, and a beautiful boy.<br/><br/>He gets along with all the other dogs, male and female, big and small. We haven't yet had the chance to introduce him one-on-one to cats, but we think he would do well if given the right opportunity in a controlled environment. He's a hound, after all!<br/><br/>Lewis recently moved to Bertha's House with the other foster dogs, and fit in immediately! He picked up the routine of backyard potty breaks and crate time during work hours with the greatest of ease, and loves taking car rides too. He walks well on a leash and has a friendly and calm demeanor - just a gem of a dog!<br/><br/>Lewis's ideal family would have kids or active adults to play with, perhaos another dog for company, but he would be just as happy being the only dog and spending evenings curled up in a couch corner watching movies with his people.<br/><br/>Could that be you?
