In new situations he may puff himself up a bit while he figures things out, but once he settles in his fun and friendly personality really shines.<br/><br/>He has done well with the dogs he has met at the shelter. Lewis has also shown little interest in the cat room, though slow introductions are always recommended in a new home.<br/><br/>Because Lewis arrived as a stray, we do not know his previous household habits. A home that provides structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help him settle in and thrive.<br/><br/>Right now Lewis mostly needs a calm place to land while he finishes healing — and someone who appreciates a friendly little Beagle who likes to be part of the action.<br/><br/>Lewis is neutered, heartworm tested, dewormed, current on vaccinations, and on monthly preventatives.
