Leo, Toby, Reggie NEED FOSTERS's Story
Many miles west of the Twin Cities in a large, very remote rural area, lives a very compassionate man who takes in homeless stray dogs and tries to help them find places to go. He holds them in his home for a period of time to find out more about them and to see if they have homes, then tries to find rescues for those who do not. We have been helping for the last few years by taking some of these dogs into our program but it's difficult to keep up with the number of strays out there. Right now, we got in these little dogs; they are friendly, good with people and other dogs, also good with cats, cows, sheep, goats, and chickens (it's a farm). We are looking for foster homes or foster with intent to adopt for these dogs. Second Chance will provide food and supplies needed while you foster, and cover any pre-approved medical costs. They still need some vetting which is being set up the week of the 22nd at which time we will get more accurate weights, etc. They do some marking so the neutering should curb that. If you have questions or could foster any of these dogs, please call 651-771-5662.

Leo looks like a Pomeranian-Corgi mix, and he weighs about 25#. He is on the dominant side - will play with others, and then if they don't stop when he's done playing, he will put them in their place. Also, vocal and does some barking so would do better in a home than in an apartment. Leo likes companionship of other dogs but might be best as an only dog. Leo's pictures are the first two.

Toby is an enthusiastic little sweetheart who just can't get enough attention. He'll bark if other dogs in his area are barking but mostly works on getting someone to pet or hold him. He is very playful with the other dogs. Toby's pictures are the middle two - cute little tan boy who could be a Puggle mix. He weighs about 17#.

Reggie is more submissive and looks to Leo (who we think is his brother) for direction and follows the lead of other dogs. He is timid at first, then warms up. Reggie would do best with a dog companion in his home. Reggie's pics are the last two. He weighs about 25#.
