Leo's Story

Meet Leo, one of several huskies surrendered to our neighbors at WAS. He's a bit older, at 7 years old, and weighs 51 lbs. Like the others, he doesn't like people reaching over his head and can be very vocal. He was the only one I had to loop leash, but by the time we got to the play yard door, he was comfortable enough for me to attach the leash properly. Outside, like his sister, he started off nervous, so I sat with him, which immediately put him at ease, and he laid down on the ground with me. We would highly recommend going low and slow with him, as after he gets put at ease, he's all yours. He accepts pets and will likely sniff you all over, especially your head. He's not the most affectionate, but he's a very sweet husky once he gets to know you. Come visit him today! ...
