Leo's Story
Meet Leo! This 1 year old, 51 lab-husky-mix puppy has one of the biggest hearts and a huge capacity to snuggle. Leo is extremely affectionate, quiet, playful, curious, intelligent, and kind hearted. He loves every person and dog he meets and would happily play for most of the day and then curl up and cuddle you as close as he can possibly get. His foster siblings adore him, and his foster parents are amazed every day how quickly he picks up new things. Leo is a brave young dog, which allows him to be very adaptable. Leo is timid with new introductions, and he is hesitant around men, but he is eager to fit in and do the right thing.

Since Leo is new to homes, he is working very hard at becoming fully potty trained and crate trained. He tolerates a crate for short periods but will be vocal about his dislike of them. His foster family is amazed at his progress so far and believes he will accomplish his goals easily and quickly! Leo already knows sit, wait, kennel up (to get in his crate), and he would love a family who will continue to work on his commands and tricks since he is very smart and will do just about anything for a treat.

Because Leo is a very athletic guy, he can easily climb an 8 foot chain link fence, but he really just wants to be around his people and siblings.

This bubbly boy would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can run around or with a family who is home often to give him plenty of exercise. He definitely needs another furry sibling to play with and show him how to be a dog, and doggy daycare is strongly recommended during the day to fill his boundless energy needs.

Leo is fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered & microchipped
His adoption fee is $300.

If you have any questions or concerns about Leo, please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com.
