Leo's Story
Leo is the puppy who looks at you like you've just changed his whole world — big amber eyes, ears that haven't quite decided which way to sit, and a habit of leaning his whole body into you the second you crouch down.

Born around May 5, 2026, Leo is already showing off a personality that's equal parts curious and cuddly. He's confident enough to explore a new room nose-first, but he's just as happy to plant himself in your lap and stay there. He sits on command, waits (mostly patiently) for his food, and walks nicely on a leash — a pretty impressive resume for a guy who's only a few months old.

Like so many of the forgotten dogs of Central Texas, Leo didn't get the easiest start. But his foster family has given him the safety and structure to grow into the sweet, snuggly pup he is now, and he shares his foster home with his littermates — including his sister Loli — while they all wait for their forever families.

Leo would do best with a family who has a little time and patience for puppyhood — he's got all the energy and enthusiasm you'd expect from a growing pup, and he'll thrive with consistent training, playtime, and a soft place to land at the end of the day.

Leo is expected to grow into a medium-to-large mixed breed, and he's up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations. If you're ready to fall for a red-and-white boy with the sweetest eyes in Central Texas, Leo would love to meet you.

To schedule a meet and greet, please fill out an adoption application, which can be easily found at www.jackjackspack.org/adopt

Once your application has been approved, a member of our team will contact you to schedule a phone interview and a meet-and-greet. This process can take up to 10 days as we are volunteer run.

Please keep in mind that we select the best-qualified applicants based on the needs of both the dog and the applicant.
