Lennox's Story

We think we have actually found the most sweet aussiedoodle on the planet! Lennox is between 1 and 2 years old, she currently weighs 53 pounds and has pure adoration for anyone who gives her attention. She had to be shaved as she had a very neglected coat when she came into the rescue. From what we were told, she and another dog where turned loose by the family when her former owner had to be moved into assisted living and she was picked up by the shelter. Their loss is certainly going to be someone else's gain as this little girl is the definition of companion pet. She recently was spayed and had her medicals taken care of. She was negative for heartworms and any tickborne diseases and has been started on preventions. She does walk well on a leash and likes going in a car, but does currently get a little drooly. We are hoping this gets better the more she is exposed. She is learning to play with toys and does like femur chew bones. She also is food motivated and in very smart. She will have no trouble learning. The hair she currently has is nice and thick and it will be no time until she is as beautiful on the outside as she is the inside. She is a doodle so grooming both at home and then professionally every so often will be necessary. She has an extremely sweet spirit and responds to kindness and positive reinforcement. Being loud or heavy handed would probably cause her to shut down. She does get along with other dogs and likes to play as long as they are not too rough. We haven't seen her around cats. She is great to lay and play with things in the house but the minute you get up and go to another area, your personal shadow goes with you. She is generally quiet, but will bark when some pulls in the driveway or approaches the front door via the sidewalk. It is just an alert and she is her happy-go-lucky self when someone enters the home. If you would like an application for this lovely girl please email iPAWinc2022@gmail.com.
