Ex: work at home, retired, at home parent, work opposite, etc)

11/20/25-Lemon went to the vet today & had her rabies vaccine, distemper combo shot, and heartworm/lyme test. She tested positive for lyme & will get treated with antibiotics for that. The vet said she looks good. She does have a small bellybutton hernia, but they said that will be fixed during her spay. She is crate trained & doing much better in house training too. The vet mentioned she looks like she has been in heat recently or is about to be in heat, so I will be monitoring her for that. Her spay won’t be until sometime in February & she will not be matched to her new home until after her spay.

11/14/25-Miss Lemon is just the most precious companion. She will snuggle right next to you and melt your heart. Lemon continues to do great with us. She is getting much better at staying in the crate for longer periods (she has even spent the night in it). My children have enjoyed putting her in some of Wally’s wardrobe. She looks fabulous in sweaters. Lemon is great on the leash and in the car. The only two areas she needs some more work is house training (the crate is really helping here) and table manners (as in not jumping on the kitchen table to get food lol). Even the most perfect puppy can’t be 100% perfect (but she is very close). I’ve had many dogs in my life and I can tell you that she is very, very special. Just an absolute love. Her pre-spay, check up & shots, etc is this Thursday 11/20 & we hope to have her spay set up for asap after that.

11/6/25-Lemon is so smart and learning fast. She has learned to sit and is doing great with crate and house training (she had an accident her first night but none since—she’s got the routine down). She is doing fine now being left in the crate or gated off in the kitchen when we leave. When we are home, she does like to be right by our side. She likes to sleep next to someone at night as well. She is very athletic and with her food interest, we have seen this tiny girl jump from the floor to chair to kitchen table in the blink of an eye. Anyone interested in agility training, lol! Lemon is a special dog with the best combination of sweetness and fun. She gets along great with her distant puggle cousin (our boy, Wally), our big dog, and everyone else she meets.

11/4/25-Lemon continues to be the cutest, most spirited girl. She adores children. Our 10 year old daughter is her favorite person. She really has that personality associated with certain terrier breeds of being a kid’s bff, but she will be happy with any loving person or family. Lemon is just learning the ropes of crate training, potty training, and leash walking. We are doing behavioral work with her and she is a fast learner. She is one of the most food motivated dogs I have met, so that helps with the training, lol. Lemon will be seeing the vet soon and will have her spay procedure scheduled. She will be ready to go home after recovery. Lemon is the bright ray of sunshine you need in your life!

11/2/25-Meet Lemon, the sweetest girl you ever will find. Today is our first day with her and we are amazed at how well-adjusted she is. So far, she is calm, loves kids, is good with our dogs, and likes to frolic in the yard. Lemon was rescued from the same place our puggle, Wally, was rescued and there must be some kind of magic in the gene pool. These are simply wonderful dogs who seem to love everyone. Lemon walked well on a leash today and did her business outside. She was hungry and thirsty and has a good appetite. After Lemon is spayed, she will be ready to meet her forever family. Get ready to have your heart stolen.

11/02/25-Lemon is a 9 month old terrier/puggle (pug/beagle) mix rescued from an overcrowded breeder. She arrived into foster care today thanks to her transport volunteers. She came in with 4 more puggle & puggle mix puppies from the same home. We have had many others in past from this breeder & they have all been very sweet & great dogs. She has the cutest scruffy look & is the sweetest girl. She was so hungry and thirsty when she got to her foster home, but otherwise seems so content. Lemon adores the kids in her foster home & they have been frolicking in the yard and having quite the time together. She has been wagging her tail since she arrived. She has her pre-spay vet checkup & shots on Thursday 11/13 & will set up her spay as soon as possible after. After we get to know Lemon a little bit more & she is spayed, she will be ready to go to her home.
