Lemon's Story

Lemon is a sweet and gentle hound mix weighing 54 pounds and estimated to be 2 to 3 years old. She is the definition of low-maintenance and is happiest spending her days relaxing in a cozy spot; especially if its tucked under a table, desk, or other piece of furniture where she feels safe and secure.

Lemon is house-trained, quiet, and easy to live with. She gets along well with other dogs and has done great with children. While we have not tested her with cats, she does enjoy chasing squirrels, so a home with cats would need careful consideration.

One of her favorite activities is going for daily walks, but she prefers having a canine friend along for the adventure. Because of this, she would thrive in a home with another friendly dog who can help build her confidence and show her that the world is a safe place. However, the right family without another dog could also be a good fit if they are patient and understanding.

True to her easygoing nature, Lemon is exceptionally quiet. She does not bark at people, passing cars, or other dogs, making her a wonderfully peaceful companion.

Lemon loves chicken, enjoys a predictable routine, and is content with the simple things in life. Thunderstorms are not her favorite, and she will appreciate a safe, comforting place to retreat when the weather gets rough.

Lemon has successfully completed her heartworm treatment and is ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own.

Lemon is surprisingly athletic and can climb or clear fences under 6 feet tall. Because of this, any fenced yard should have a secure 6-foot fence, and she should always be supervised outdoors.

If you are looking for a calm, loving companion who asks for very little and gives quiet companionship in return, Lemon may be the perfect addition to your family.

Adoption application is available on our website: www.puppypawsrescue.org
