Leland Pit Bull Terrier & American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Dayton, OH

Hello all, I’m Leland and how seniors end up at the shelter is beyond me. We are past shenanigans but still love life! I am a sweet guy who is pretty mellow, but I still get excited and like to play like those young pups out there. Toys aren’t really my thing, but snacks, however, are awesome and much appreciated. I know my commands and am an overall good boy. I can jump a baby gate and fence to come find you, especially in the beginning…who says old dogs aren’t athletic?? I still get excited about life, love other dogs and am ready to start this final, awesome stage of my life! I really need another dog in the home, as I will be anxious during the transition to a new home. I am a good boy, but all of the changes in the later part of my life makes me worried you will leave too. Once I settle in and bond, the anxiety ends, but will need a family who understands this.

ADOPTION FEE: $200 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained).

A $100 hold fee is required for approved applications and will be applied to the full adoption fee at the time of the home visit.

PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
