Leilani's Story
Meet Leilani.

Leilani is a soft-hearted, gentle companion who thrives in calm environments and forms deep bonds with her people. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the center of attention — she simply wants to be nearby, sharing quiet moments and feeling safe.

She loves cozy spaces, peaceful routines, and being close to her humans. If your ideal evening includes a blanket, a couch, and a loyal dog curled beside you, Leilani may be your perfect match.
Leilani lives comfortably with cats and absolutely adores them — she’s even known to “spoon” her feline friends. She does well with other dogs when introduced properly and seems to especially enjoy male dog companions. She would do best in a home with older children (12+) who understand and respect her gentle nature.

Her DNA results show she is primarily a mix of Husky, Belgian Malinois, and Pitbull — a unique blend that contributes to her loyalty, intelligence, and strong connection with her people.
Leilani is currently in her glow-up era after overcoming a rough start in life. Her coat continues improving, her confidence is growing, and her personality shines more each day.

Leilani does have a grade 3 heart murmur and takes daily medication to support her heart health. She is doing well and living comfortably, but she will need an adopter committed to continuing her medication and routine veterinary care. In return, she offers a deeply devoted companionship that is truly special.

Leilani is looking for a calm, loving indoor home where she can continue feeling safe and cherished.

If you believe the best dogs are the quiet ones who love deeply and ask for very little, Leilani may be your perfect match.

Apply to adopt Leilani: https://rubiesandrogues.com/pages/placement-application

Adoption fee $300 (includes vetting through our program) see here for specifics: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16xaqyrjYF/
