He is gorgeous! Is that ok to say about a male? His coloring is amazing. He has settled in really well and seems un-phased by the huge change. Volunteers love this boy! Leica will make his new family so happy they decided to give him a second chance. <br/><br/>Leica is currently in an amazing foster home. Here's what his foster mom has to say about him: Leica is the kind of dog that makes fostering feel easy — calm, gentle, affectionate, and beautifully well-mannered. At 5 years old, he has outgrown puppy chaos and settled into being a steady, loving companion who fits seamlessly into everyday life.<br/><br/>He is fully house-trained and trustworthy with full run of the home. Leica sleeps through the night without a sound, has never chewed anything that isn’t his, and shows zero aggression with food or toys. He eats politely, sometimes even walking away from his bowl with food still in it.<br/><br/>Leica loves people and hasn’t met a stranger yet. He is wonderful with other dogs and truly enjoys curling up next to his foster mom or laying next to his foster sibling. He is very attached to his person and happily follows his foster mom everywhere — a dog who thrives on companionship.<br/><br/>Leica walks nicely on leash and gets excited when it’s time to go out. He jumps right into the car and rides quietly. He enjoys exploring a fenced yard, has great recall and loves a good game of fetch with a tennis ball. <br/><br/>For grooming, Leica stands perfectly still for brushing and genuinely seems to enjoy it. He knows his “sit” command and is eager to continue learning; his “down” command is a work in progress. <br/><br/>Leica would do beautifully in a home looking for a loyal, affectionate companion — whether that’s a family, a couple, or someone who wants a devoted best friend. He is moderate energy, easy to live with and full of quiet love.<br/><br/>If you’re looking for a dog who will curl up with you and greet each day with gentle joy, Leica may be the one you’ve been waiting for.<br/><br/>Fostered in Green Bay.
