Legolas's Story

Legolas is a ~3 year old boy who weighs ~70 lbs, he's a sturdy boy who comes up to about your knee. We would say he's a good medium-sized guy! This fun, goofy and affectionate boy loves everyone he meets and has no shy bone in his body. He loves to be active and go on adventures, as well as hang out at home with a chew toy. He knows when it's time to chill. Legolas has met other dogs here and has done well with female dogs and can meet neutered male dogs nicely. We believe he would do best in a home with only female dogs and no cats, please.
He did nicely with children that he met. He loves to cuddle up to you or sit in your lap. Squeaky toys are his favorite and will chase after them when thrown, he's still getting used to this whole "fetch" thing. His foster home reports excellent house manners - great potty manners and no chewing or destructive tendencies. They say he is very smart and catches on quickly.

When he arrived at the shelter, staff noted he walks a little funny. He went to the vet and they said their best guess is he previously fractured that bone and it did not heal straight. The vets believe he will not have any complication in the future nor does he seem to be in pain.

He is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives.

If you are interested, please call the shelter at (541) 474-5458. You can view more adoptable pets at www.jocoshelter.com/adoptions . Walk-ins are welcome, however we highly recommend calling first to check on availability and location (some animals may be offsite or unavailable). Appointments are recommended to reduce wait times, especially for dogs. Thank you!
