Lee's Story

Meet Lee & Grizz – A Dynamic Dachshund Duo

Lee (7) and Grizz (12) are two bonded Dachshunds who have already been through so much together, and they're ready for the next chapter of their lives in a safe, loving home. Both boys are neutered, fully vaccinated, and had dental cleanings this year, so they're healthy and ready to shine.

These two came from a difficult hoarding situation in California, where they didn't get much time outdoors or positive attention. At first, they were shy and nervous, unsure of people or the world around them. With patience, love, and the care of their foster mom, they have blossomed into affectionate lap dogs who crave snuggles, attention, and cozy time with their favorite humans.

When they first arrived, their backs were nearly bald, their nails were overgrown, and their teeth were in rough shape. Today, their coats have started to come in well! Their transformation is nothing short of amazing!

Lee and Grizz adore each other and will need to be adopted together, as they rely on one another for comfort and confidence. They love curling up side by side and would thrive in a calm home with someone who understands that it may take them a little time to settle in. They've made incredible progress but may regress a bit during transitions, patience and routine will be key.

They do well with both dogs and cats but can be a bit protective of food. Because of this, it's best to feed them separately to keep mealtimes stress-free. Like many Dachshunds, they're smart, food-motivated, and eager to please, traits that will make training easier in the right home.

Lee and Grizz are looking for a foster, foster-to-adopt, or forever home where they can finally live the cushy, love-filled life they deserve. Could you be the one to give this devoted duo the happy ending they've been waiting for?
