Leche's Story

Meet Leche, a beautiful blonde pup with a soft spirit and a slightly more confident spark than her brother. She came to us from the Central Valley alongside her siblings after a very difficult start to life. While we don’t know everything they’ve experienced, it’s clear they’re resilient, loving, and ready for a fresh beginning.

Leche may look just like her brother Potato, but her personality shines in her own way. She is still gentle and thoughtful, but a bit more outgoing and curious about the world around her. She warms up a little quicker and is already showing signs of being a sweet, affectionate companion who enjoys both exploring and snuggling.

She is about 4months old and currently weighs around 15pounds. Based on her size and build, we expect she will be approximately 20-30 pounds full grown. Like her siblings, she has adorable extra dewclaws that make her truly one of a kind. Our best guess is that she may be a mix of Lab, Shepherd, and Chihuahua, though with rescue pups, it’s always a bit of a mystery.

Leche is still a young puppy with no formal training. She will need a committed adopter who is ready to guide her through house training, crate training, socialization, and daily exercise. Puppies this age require time, patience, and consistency, and do best in homes with flexible schedules where they are not left alone for long periods.

She would thrive in an active home with a yard and would benefit from having another dog to continue building her confidence and help her learn. With the right guidance, Leche has all the makings of a well-balanced, loving family dog.

After being found in a homeless encampment in Fresno, Leche is now safe in the Bay Area and ready to start her next chapter. She is incredibly sweet, loves to cuddle, and is already showing she is food motivated, which will make training a fun and rewarding experience.

Leche is looking for a family who will commit to her for life and give her the love, structure, and stability she deserves.

[Apply Now](http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application)
For application forwarding requests or any specific inquiries, you can contact us at adopt@underdogca.com. Additional vet care is provided as needed based on their requirements. The adoption fee for this dog is $400 serving as a non-refundable donation. Underdog Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Thank you for reading about our awesome dogs. All dogs came to us from different situations and we often do not know much about their past, but they are rescue dogs who deserve a second chance and need patience on their journey. All of our dogs our are in foster homes all across the bay area. The first step of the process is you must submit an application in order to set up a meet and great or talk with the foster family. Once application is submitted the foster parents will contact you to chat more about the dog and make sure they're a good fit and can answer any further question. The application answers most of all of our questions and can best match you. If you do not get the dog you apply for we can use your same application for 90 days towards another dog in our care and simply forward your app to that foster parent. **Reminder we are all volunteers working hard to save these dogs, some dogs may receive 20+ application to all be reviewed. We do our best to respond to all apps as we can. Please be patient and feel free to send us a follow up email if needed. http://form.jotform.com/underdogca/dog-adoption-application All dogs will be fully vetted (Spay/ Neutered, Micro chipped, DHPP and Rabies Vaccinated) and other possible vet care prior to adoption. The adoption fees vary by animal and are considered a non refundable donation Visit us at www.underdogca.com or follow us on IG@underdoganimalrescueca https://www.facebook.com/underdogCA A little more about us: Underdog Animal Rescue is a foster based rescue serving the Bay Area of Northern California. Since our start in 2014, we have built an outstanding team and have grown into a strong network of volunteers dedicated to saving the Underdogs in our shelters and community. We have dedicated our efforts to giving a second chance to the dogs that are most in need (medically or behaviorally) and the dogs that have been overlooked for too long. As a foster based rescue, Underdog places dogs in temporary foster homes where they can decompress and get the love and affection that they need. Dogs are also vaccinated, spayed/neutered and receive any other medical treatment needed before finding their forever home. Rescue is undoubtedly hard and trying work but it is entirely worth it to see the life of a dog saved. As a rescue, we believe it is our duty to save the dogs that really need our help; the dogs that need a little TLC, a little medical care, or just someone to believe in them again. This is why we save the dogs that are on their last days at the shelter or haven't even been given a chance to be adopted by the public. As much as we love those sweet puppy eyes, we think more of saving their mommy’s and daddy’s that have been shoved to the back of the shelter awaiting their fate. Thank you for seeing what we do and loving us for it. It’s only because of our outstanding community, foster families and volunteers that we are able to continue our efforts.
