Leah's Story

Meet Leah — your future cuddle bug and adventure buddy all in one! At 2 years old and about 40 lbs, Leah is the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly sweetness. She's truly the best of both worlds — a big, goofy puppy at heart who also melts into you for cuddles, kisses, and all the love she can give. Her whole vibe? Happy, affectionate, and always ready to be right by your side.

Leah thrives in a home with structure and someone dedicated to continuing her training. She's incredibly smart, learns quickly, and genuinely wants to please. With routine exercise and positive reinforcement, she absolutely shines. She already knows sit, down, spin, touch, and heel, and her leash walking is great! This girl is as fun as she is intelligent — she'll happily go down the slide at the park and climb anything you ask her to. She loves food puzzles and pupsicles, and her sharp mind keeps her engaged and eager to learn more. She's also been doing a great job learning how to settle and relax.

Leah adores her people and starts each day with kisses and snuggles when she's ready to head out for a potty break. She rides great in the car, enjoys her walks, and still loves a good spa day (yes, bath time is her thing ‍). She's not a fan of the vacuum or hair dryer, but she makes up for it with her affectionate, silly personality. While Leah is not dog aggressive, she can get overstimulated during playtime, so she would likely do best as the only dog where she can soak up all the attention. She's great with kids but may be a bit too energetic for very young children.

Leah does best with a confident owner who sets clear boundaries — she listens beautifully and truly thrives when she knows her person is in charge. With the right guidance, she will continue to grow into an incredible companion. Leah is an all-around amazing girl who's ready to bring love, laughter, and lots of kisses into her forever home.

If you think Leah might be your perfect match, apply at bcaaofnj.org
