Meet Layla, a beautiful young Husky with the most gorgeous brown and blue eyes! We estimate that she’s around a year old, and she definitely has the energy to prove it. Layla is your quintessential young Husky — energetic, silly, stubborn, curious, playful, and just a little bit of an escape artist. She keeps everyone on their toes, but underneath all that Husky mischief is a very sweet and loving girl who wants to be part of a family. One of Layla’s favorite things at the shelter is playing with her Husky friends. She LOVES having a canine buddy to run and play with, and we think she would really enjoy having a dog friend in her forever home. As always, a meet-and-greet with potential canine siblings will be important to make sure everyone is a good match. Layla is also mouthy, which is very common for the breed, especially in a young, energetic Husky. She’ll need a family committed to continued training, structure, consistency, and plenty of appropriate outlets for her energy. She knows “sit”, is very treat-motivated, and loves her toys — so there are plenty of ways to keep that busy Husky brain working! Because Layla is clever, athletic, and has already shown us that she has some escape-artist tendencies, her forever home will need a secure, safely fenced-in yard.
