Especially in the mornings to start the day, for food, going on walks, and driving in the car. She loves playing with balls and toys and is curious and explorative. <br/><br/>• She’s incredibly loving, happy, playful, energetic, super strong & fast, open to new things, and has a special fondness for older ladies. LOL! <br/><br/>• She doesn’t shed, is house-trained, leash-trained, and will surprise you with zoomies around the yard once she gets to know you.<br/><br/>She loves food, is treat motivated, and pretty much doesn’t say “no” to anything edible. <br/><br/>• She’s a quick learner, is attentive, listens closely, knows commands, is very well-behaved, and adheres to discipline and tones of words and energy. In fact, she’ll let you trim the hair on her face.<br/><br/>• She’s an indoor dog, but absolutely loves to explore outdoors. Plus, she has some hops! If Layla was in the Olympics, she’d win the high jump event hands down. But being a terrier, sometimes exploring can mean escaping. So, a secure large wall/fence and yard are a must.<br/> <br/>• Layla is usually super calm and chilled out 90% of the time. But she can also go bizerkos at strangers, neighbors, dudes, and delivery drivers the other 10%. She's a great barker and protector, and she doesn't hesitate to voice her opinions at bikers, joggers, or other dogs who pass by when on walks. But she’s a terrier, and their instincts aren’t to like everyone. <br/><br/>• As active as she can be, she’s also calm and cuddly. She especially loves to be sang to and danced with… and totally digs movie nights with you. <br/><br/>• She’s not fond of confined spaces, locked crates, crowds, or separated by barriers… But who is??? <br/><br/>• Layla is the sweetest girl with the ones she’s closest to and trusts the most. Yet, she isn’t the type of dog that will be "people and pet-friendly" everywhere you go. Due to her past, Layla is very selective. If it’s her type of vibe, she’ll love you up and roll over for you to rub her belly. If not, she’ll show it instantly. <br/><br/>• Although Layla has been part of our pack of 6 soulmates for over 5 months now – and has gotten along well with an array of different types, ages, and sizes of animals in the past year – she can be a bit unpredictable with when it comes time to ambush.
