Lavoie's Story

How this pet arrived:This pet was brought in by a community member on November 21, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you: Say hello to Lavoie, a young dog with a heart full of hope! He's a bit shy at first, but give him a chance and he'll show you his social skills. Lavoie has developed a lot of confidence and trust since his arrival, learning that there are kind people who offer love and that they are fun to play with, too! Sweet words and puzzle toys help break the ice with Lavoie. And he may show off how fast he can run when he gets the zoomies in the play yard! Our trainers have been working with Lavoie to help him grow more comfortable in seeing new faces and spaces and manage some jumpy behaviors. He will thrive best in a home without cats, and with adults or older children (8+) who will be sensitive to his body language. His adopters should be prepared to help him continue building confidence and new skills with positive reinforcement techniques. If you'd like to meet this handsome pup who's ready and waiting to find his people, come speak with our adoption counselors today! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. This pet is now ready for adoption! <br/>Shy/Fearful Dog: This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 68lbs Age: 1yrs 5mths 0wks Animal has been Neutered
