Lavender's Story

Tiny Explorer. Scruffy Eyebrows. Full-Time Heart Melter.

Lavender is one of those puppies who looks like she wandered out of a storybook. With her beautiful blue merle coat, soft scruffy fur, and little tan eyebrows that make her look permanently curious, she's almost impossibly cute.

Born on March 22, 2026, this adorable Giant Schnauzer/Blue Heeler mix is equal parts cuddly sweetheart and fearless little adventurer.

Lavender approaches life with a very simple philosophy:

"What's that? Can I see it? Can I sniff it? Can I be involved?"

She's curious, playful, and always interested in whatever her people are doing. Whether she's investigating a new toy, following you from room to room, or bouncing around with another puppy, Lavender is happiest when she's part of the action.

And despite her playful side, this girl has a wonderfully soft personality.

She loves attention and happily soaks up affection from everyone she meets. She's the kind of puppy who will crawl into your lap, gaze up at you with those soulful eyes, and make you wonder how something so little can have so much personality.

Other dogs? Big fan.

Lavender is social, friendly, and loves having canine buddies around. She enjoys wrestling, playing chase, and then collapsing into a fuzzy little puppy pile when she's worn herself out.

And with a Giant Schnauzer's intelligence and a Blue Heeler's quick mind, this girl is likely going to be one smart cookie. She's curious, eager to interact, and will thrive with training, enrichment, and plenty of opportunities to learn new things.

Now, to be transparent:

Lavender is still very much a puppy. Which means:

She's working on potty training
She's learning crate skills
She'll need continued socialization and basic training
She occasionally gets mouthy in that completely normal, playful puppy way
She has just enough mischief to keep everyone laughing

But honestly? That's the fun of puppyhood.

Lavender is the kind of puppy who turns ordinary moments into memories. The kind who can be zooming around the house one minute and snuggled against your leg the next.

She's sweet, curious, scruffy, and absolutely packed with personality.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://form.jotform.com/260401018308040

+++++++

Lavender is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to the perfect forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week!

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress and thats the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isnt about perfection; its about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know theyre finally home. Thats when youll see them bloom soft and steady into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, youll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

What Is a Benefactor Dog or Puppy, and Why Is the Adoption Fee Higher?

Benefactor dogs and puppies are typically purebreds or high-demand rescues who tend to find homes quicklyeven with a higher adoption fee. These dogs play a special role in our mission.

Their increased fees help cover the costs for dogs who need much more time, care, and resources before theyre ready for adoption. Some dogs spend monthseven over a yearin our care, requiring expensive surgeries, heartworm treatment, behavioral training, or ongoing medical support.

By adopting a Benefactor dog, you're not only giving them a loving homeyoure also helping to fund the second chance of another dog still waiting for theirs. Its a meaningful way to make a difference beyond just one life.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
