After having time to decompress and settle into a routine, she has been doing much better. She is learning that people can be kind and that this place is not as scary as it first seemed. Lavada has tested well with a male dog, but she really prefers to coexist rather than engage in play. She walks well on a leash and would make a great walking companion for someone who enjoys calm outings. Lavada needs patience and a home willing to let her decompress at her own pace. She is one of those dogs who will flourish in a quiet, predictable environment with someone who understands that trust for her takes time.
