Latte is a 5 year old female Schnauzer and a puppymill rescue. She has been at AFA since 2/24/25 and is desperately longing for her forever home. Will someone open up their heart and home to her before she hits the one year mark?<br/>She is a beautiful and loving girl, but she is a very nervous of new people and places at first. Once she warms up she’s curious and playful and would love a home where she can get lots of attention from her humans. Latte loves going for walks and does excellent on a leash, she's a joy to take on a walk! She's a sweet and gentle soul! She would love someone to give her lots of snuggles and take her on nice long walks.<br/>**Please note that Latte requires a home with a fenced in yard. As a puppy mill rescue, she’s never experienced a typical “dog’s life” and doesn’t yet know how to recall. She’s still wary of new things, and if she got loose, she would likely run in fear rather than come when called. Please review our Adoption Procedures:<br/><br/>Adoption/Visiting Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, Noon-4pm<br/>You may visit our cats, kittens, dogs and puppies over the age of 4 months old during adoption hours prior to completing an adoption application. You must fill out an adoption application and be approved before visiting with puppies aged 4 months old and younger.<br/><br/>Applying for Adoption:<br/><br/>Fill out an adoption application in person at the shelter during adoption hours. We do not offer adoption applications online. If you live at a distance (1-1/2+ hour away), you can call us at 724-539-2544 to complete an adoption application by phone. Calls are returned within 48 hours.<br/><br/>Bring the following pertinent documents with you:<br/><br/>Pet Owners: Vet records of all your current pets.<br/><br/>Homeowners: Proof of home ownership – a property tax or mortgage document. Utility bills are not accepted.<br/><br/>Renters: Landlord’s phone number and copy of your lease. We must speak to your landlord to be considered for adoption.<br/><br/>Valid ID: You must be 21 years or older.<br/><br/>Dog Owners:<br/><br/>If you currently have dogs at your home, we require a meet and greet with the shelter dog you are interested in.
