Lassie's Story

Lassie is simply the best girl!

Lassie has had quite the story. She originally came into our care with six other dogs after her owner was threatening to do the unspeakable to all of his dogs. When Lassie arrived, all she knew was a cage and she was very pregnant! That night, she went into labor and gave birth to thirteen puppies, sadly only seven made it.

Lassie was a wonderful mother to her babies and now that they have all been adopted, she is ready to find her forever family!

Lassie is currently in a foster home with other dogs, cats and has had exposure to children. Lassie has also gone to multiple rescue events and has done amazing!

Lassie is a high energy girl, who LOVES to play and run. Her foster family reports that she enjoys having dog friends. She does best with slow introductions to cats.

Lassie loves not only playing and running but also loves her crate and kids! She is friendly dog who enjoys people in general!

Due to her breed and history, we are looking for someone committed to life with a high energy dog and would prefer a home with a fenced in back yard.

Lassie is:
- Vaccinated (Rabies, DA2PP, Leptospirosis and Lyme)
- Heartworm and tick-born disease tested. By being foster based it allows for optimal socialization with other pets, people and home life. Any interested adopters are required to fill out an application.
