Meet Lassie

Balto, Fly, Lassie, RinTinTin, and Momma are here! This family has quite the backstory. Just a few weeks ago they didn’t even know each other. Found in the pound after giving birth to 11 puppies, Momma Smokey did her best but sadly 10 of her puppies passed in the dire conditions. Today little RinTinTin, her mini me, is thriving. He is plump, playful and the epitome of puppy. Fly, Balto, and Lassie became orphans when their mother went into congestive heart failure due to age and severe heartworm. Just before Smokey and RinTinTin were about to leave on transport we got the call that the puppies needed a mother. We took a chance and put them together. It was a stressful 5 days, losing their mother, meeting a new one, getting on transport, and arriving in a new place. Sadly one of the puppies, Laika, didn’t survive; she was much smaller than the others and it was all too much for her, she will rest peacefully with the rest of our angels. The other 3 are thriving though, like RinTinTin they are doing so well. We have been blown away by the selflessness of Smokey, she is sweet and loving to all the babies, a mother in every sense. The puppies are growing and learning every day. They are messy, silly and demanding of all the cuddles.
Smokey & RinTinTin are bully mixes. The others appear to be border collie (mixes). We cannot say what they’re adult weights will be, but we know they will all be great dogs. We are opening applications now, please remember puppies are a lifetime commitment; they are expensive, patience testing, rowdy, and worth all the trouble they’ll put you through. Apply now! We will do our best to respond to every application but cannot guarantee that.
NOTE: We do not know the exact breeds of our dogs; any mention of breeds are best guesses and not guaranteed. For puppies, their weights are also estimates based on their current size and growth; but we cannot guarantee a final size or even size range as every dog's growth pattern is different.
