Larry's Story

"Larry is a 4–5 year old, 18 lb Cockapoo who can only be described as a little ray of sunshine ☀️

This sweet, snuggly guy lives for his people and would happily spend all day curled up in your lap. He’s a pretty chill companion overall—quiet, easygoing, and content to just hang out—though when he gets excited, he shows it in the most adorable way…by bouncing straight up into the air with all four feet off the ground. It’s impossible not to smile when you see it.

Larry has been great with other dogs but doesn’t seem all that interested in playing—he’s much more into companionship than chaos. Because of his sensitive nature, he’s looking for a home without young kids. He can also be a little “cat-like” at times and will politely let you know when he’s had enough attention.

He does best with a crate when left alone, as he can get a bit anxious and will pace or scratch. No shared walls though, because if it’s not bedtime he will vocally show his dissatisfaction. He’s happy as a clam in his crate at night, though! Just be prepared—this boy is clingy in the best way and will want to be your little shadow.

Larry recently had a full dental (including 25 teeth removed!) and is feeling so much better. He came to us from a local Colorado shelter as a stray in rough shape, with a severely matted coat that made even basic movement uncomfortable. Now that he’s cleaned up and cared for, his happy, loving personality is shining through.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate little companion who will keep your lap warm and your heart full, Larry is your guy 💛"

Larry is being fostered in Loveland, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.*

You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/larry/.

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
