Lantana's Story

****07/08/26 - Lantana is ready peeps!!!!
If you remember this derpy goddess, she came in a few months ago with her front leg snapped in half! But thousands of dollars, a metal plate, several screws 🪛, and tons of love later she is happy and mobile ❤️.
Lantana might have the derpiest face ever, but .... well, I forgot what point I was making, she's just a cute derp.
Lantana is just a sweet senior lady. She is 10 yrs old, and 6.6 lbs. She is great with her heathen fosters, and is just a snuggle buddy. She is obsessed with food! She will straight up yell at you when it's food o clock ⏰. She gets so excited to eat she cannot contain herself, and she will boss you to hurry up.
Lantana also will bork and tell you when it's potty time. She is just a queen 👑 who knows what she needs and will let you know when it is time.
She is still taking it easy after her leg repair surgery, so she's not looking for a family of hikers. But Lantana is ready for a family of love and happiness.

****05/06/26 - Meet Lantana 🌸
This tiny 5 lb nugget came to us as a stray from Abilene with a front leg that’s been broken for so long her body basically gave up on it😭. It just kinda... dangles. Thankfully, it's old enough that she is not in pain, but Lantana is not able to walk well and needs it repaired to have a good quality of life. This is where we really need your help!! Her surgery is estimated around $3–4k, so yeah she is small but mighty... and mighty expensive💲💸. But trust that this queen is worth it!!!
Lantana is a senior at around 10 yrs and somehow still in pretty great shape otherwise. Her bloodwork looks good and she’s cleared for surgery to repair her broken leg 🦵 this Friday 🙌
Plan is to repair her leg with a plate and bone graft, and while she’s under, evict the last two loose teeth that have been bothering her. Because we're doing a full glow-up as usual💕
She’s already settling in like she owns the place. Loves beef sticks (tiny pieces only), stands up on your leg to request snugs, and has started seeking out her foster when she’s ready to go inside or just wants to supervise yard activities. Once she’s done pottying, she’ll follow you around like your tiny, slightly wobbly shadow.
Fun fact: she was named Lantana... and then her foster immediately discovered an actual lantana plant growing in the yard like it had been there the whole time. So clearly this is meant to be.
She’s tough, she’s sweet, and she deserves a leg that actually works.🩷🩷🩷
Please help donate and share to raise the funds so that this queen 👑 can have the best life ever!
Venmo and PayPal @aychihuahuarescue
Once she is healed in a couple of months, she will be ready for her forever family!!

***04/27/26 - New intake from All Kind in Abilene, 10 yrs, 6 lbs, front right leg is broken. Updates to come
