Lana's Story
YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS.

Lana is a tiny 8 1/2 pound Poodle/Bichon/Maltese mix who was born 2/22/23 so she will be 3 in February.

She was very shut down and uncertain at first in rescue, but now she is slowly starting to blossom and gain some confidence.

Lana is playful with another dog in her foster home and learning the ropes by following the other dogs around and copying them. She does like to be around other dogs.

Ideally, Lana’s new home would have another sweet, small dog for her to play with and gain confidence from.

She will not yet come up to her foster mom and dad unless they have a treat. She will freeze but you can pick her up with no problem.

Lana was in a family home prior to coming into rescue, but they could no longer take care of her. The family did have children and sweet Lana seems to be totally non-aggressive, so she would probably be ok in a home that had older, calm, respectful children who would treat her with dignity, not as their personal toy.

She was already spayed and had her rabies vaccination and we will get her up to date on the rest of her vaccinations.

She seems to be already house trained if kept on a regular schedule.

She is probably a flight risk until totally comfortable so a secure fence at least 4 feet tall or a secure harness/collar combo.

Lana will thrive best in a new home with a patient family that understands pups that needs some help gaining confidence. Another dog in the home that welcomes a new friend to play with seems ideal.

Adoption donation $350
