Lana's Story
Lana is a beautiful 3.5-year-old rescue girl who's still learning that the world (and humans in it) can be kind. She's incredibly well-mannered, dog-friendly, cat-friendly, (all-animal friendly, really) and potty trained - but more than anything, she's a gentle spirit just starting to trust.

Lana would thrive in a calm, low-energy home with someone who understands that building trust takes time. She's not the type to run into your arms right away, but once you earn her trust, you'll see the happy, zoomie-loving dog hiding beneath the surface. She's recently started hanging out more during the day, enjoying neck scratches, and even warming up to her foster dad (especially when there's chicken involved!).

Lana loves being off leash - it's when her confidence really shines, so a fenced yard is a must for this girl. She runs, explores, and comes back to the house when she's had enough. Her recall isn't perfect, but if you call your dogs, she tags along too. She would make a wonderful companion for another mellow adult or senior dog, and would be especially happy in a secure yard where she can run her joyful zoomies.

She knows "crate" and "Lana, come," and she'll let you know she needs to potty by quietly joining the group - her sweet, subtle way of asking to go out. She's still unsure about kids and prefers the company of adults, so a home without young children would be ideal.
She's fully vetted - spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, and flea/tick treated - and comes with a surprising love for junk food (just try opening a cookie bag without her noticing!).

Lana's journey is ongoing, but she's already come so far. If you have the patience, heart, and time to help her continue to blossom, she just might become your most loyal (and goofy) friend.

This girl needs a fenced yard and another doggie friend in her forever home.
